Colombia
Colombia has an enormous barbering culture and a wide gap between academies that hold recognised status and those that imply it. BarberCourses.com lists 2 providers here, both in Bogotá.The credential that countsThe meaningful Colombian credential is a programme registered with the Secretaría de Educación, delivered by a recognised institution of education for work and human development, yielding a certificado de aptitud ocupacional. One provider here publishes its approving resolution and its number; the other states plainly that its teaching is formación no reglada and does not lead to a qualification with official standing. Both positions are respectable. What is not respectable is the middle ground, and that is what the removals were.A note on this listTwo entries came off this page. One is an online course storefront on an .edu.co domain with no address, no legal entity, no phone and near-identical landing pages generated for five different cities, a doorway pattern, not five campuses. The other is a one-man mobile barbering service with no premises that nonetheless advertises certification before the education ministry and 1,100 homologated training hours, while selling a 100-hour course. A mobile barber cannot issue a ministry credential. If you are shopping in Bogotá, ask for the resolution number and check it. The schools that have one will give it to you without hesitation.
