Croatia
Croatia has a strong barbershop culture and, on checking, almost no barbering courses. BarberCourses.com lists 1 provider here, in Zagreb. Why the list is this shortCroatia has a real credential available: a training programme verified by the Ministry of Science and Education yields a certificate recorded in your electronic work record book, and such programmes are eligible for employment service vouchers. The problem is that the verified programmes are general hairdressing, and the barbering training that exists is informal. The one provider listed here is a working Zagreb barbershop running a look-and-learn workshop with a genuine seven-part syllabus, covering shaving, beard shaping, cutting, product knowledge and how to market a barbershop, but it publishes no duration, price or certificate. What we removedTwo entries came off. One is a legitimate accredited institution offering a hairdresser-stylist qualification with a real national certificate, but it is a fashion and design school and the programme is general hairdressing, not barbering. The other is a genuine Zagreb barbershop whose website has a heading reading “education price list” with an entirely empty table beneath it, and whose booking system carries around forty services and not one course. If you run a Croatian barbering course, we would like to hear from you.
