Israel

Israel has a lively private barbering scene and no provider here preparing students for the state licensing examination. BarberCourses.com lists 3 providers. The licensing gapIsrael’s Ministry of Labour runs a licensing examination for hairdressers and barbers, and not one of the three academies listed mentions preparing students for it. All issue their own certificates or diplomas. That is worth knowing before you spend: if the licence is your goal, you will need to establish that route separately. What is on offerThe three are very different. The most substantial runs three tracks from a Tel Aviv barbershop, the fullest being ten sessions of seven hours, around 100 hours, including live client work, a studio shoot and both theory and practical examinations, with a professional kit worth up to 3,500 shekels included. Its shorter eight-session track is unusually well designed, moving from grip and hand movement through head anatomy and clipper grades to fading, and closing with photography, Instagram marketing, pricing strategy and client retention. A second is primarily an online video academy, sensibly offering a hybrid that adds two in-person sessions on real models, video alone cannot teach a manual trade. The third is a one-man evening academy running a two-month track.A note on this listOne entry was removed. Its website is essentially a keyword list generating near-identical pages for dozens of Israeli towns, a doorway-page network rather than multiple campuses, and no course length, session count, syllabus, price or certificate is published anywhere on it.
