Lithuania
Lithuania has the deepest private barber-academy market in the Baltics, concentrated almost entirely in Vilnius. BarberCourses.com lists 5 providers here, four in Vilnius and one in Kaunas.Everything here is privately certifiedThis is the single most important thing to understand before you spend money. None of the five providers listed appears in Lithuania’s state register of vocational training programmes, and none is funded through the employment service. Every certificate in this market is the academy’s own. That is not a scandal. Barbering in Lithuania is genuinely entered through private training and shop-floor experience, and several of these academies are run by competition-level barbers with international training. But it does mean you should judge them on teaching quality, class size and price rather than on any implied official standing, and be sceptical of the word “accredited” where no registering body is named. What you get for the moneyBeginner programmes cluster between 1,450 and 3,400 euros. At the lower end, a five-week Kaunas course at 1,450 euros includes tools and adds social media, client psychology and photography to the technical content. At the upper end, an eleven-week Vilnius course at 3,400 euros includes a professional tool kit and runs in groups of eight. One-to-one tuition runs to around 2,800 to 3,000 euros. Short upskilling sessions for working barbers start around 200 euros. Most providers teach in Lithuanian, Russian and English, and several offer placement help, often into their own shops, which is worth weighing both ways.A note on this listAll five entries survived checking, which is unusual in this project. Two of them share a street address and appear to share a lead instructor, so they may be more closely related than their separate branding suggests. Worth asking about if you are comparing the two.
