Luxembourg
Luxembourg has exactly one barbering-specific training route, and it runs through the official trade chamber. BarberCourses.com lists 1 provider here. How the trade worksCoiffure is a regulated trade in Luxembourg, entered through an apprenticeship leading to a DAP or CCP, state qualifications delivered by public lycées, with students spending one day a week at school and four in a salon. Barbier is not a separate qualification: shaving and beard trimming appear inside the general coiffeur profile, one task among cutting, colouring and perming. So if your goal is to work in the trade here, the route is an apprenticeship, not a course. What is left for practising hairdressersThe Chambre des Métiers, Luxembourg’s official trade chamber, runs short continuing-education courses in men’s cutting and beard work for people who already hold professional hairdressing experience. Those are the only barbering-specific classes we could find in the country, and they are what this page lists. They award an attestation of participation rather than a state qualification, and they are currently scheduled on request rather than to a fixed calendar.A note on this listTwo entries were removed after checking. Both were public lycées offering the general coiffure DAP and CCP apprenticeship, excellent institutions delivering a real state qualification, but hairdressing programmes rather than barbering courses, with beard work as an incidental component. Listing them here would have implied a barbering route that does not exist. If you know of a Luxembourg barbering course we have missed, please tell us.
