Moldova

Moldova has four barbering routes and they are unusually varied for a country this size. BarberCourses.com lists 4 providers, all in Chișinău.One state route, three privateThe outlier is worth explaining. One listing is not a beauty school at all but the training centre of a state public institution, the office for territorial planning, urbanism, construction and housing, whose catalogue is dominated by welders, crane operators and excavator drivers, with barbering as one trade among twenty. It earns its place because it is the only Moldovan provider issuing a genuinely state-recognised certificate of professional competence, with barbering available as a standalone 240-hour qualification. It is a classical trade course rather than a modern barbering academy, and for some people that is exactly right. The private optionsThe other three are barbershop academies. One publishes clear prices, 800 euros for a month-long group course including a free practice week afterwards, 1,200 one-to-one, 500 for a two-week advanced course. One teaches in stackable modules covering basic cutting, long hair, beard, shaving and fades, though it publishes no prices at all. And one is honestly a one-to-one mentorship with a single named barber rather than an academy: fifty-plus practical hours with fifteen to twenty-five live models, including a module on Instagram branding, which matters in a trade where a portfolio account is how you get hired. None of the three claims accreditation.
