Nepal
Nepal has three barbering routes, all in the Kathmandu Valley. BarberCourses.com lists 3 providers here.Ask for the CTEVT numberThe Nepali credential that matters is CTEVT affiliation or a CTEVT-registered short course. One academy here states it is CTEVT-affiliated but publishes no registration number anywhere, and the other two claim UK City and Guilds accreditation instead, which is a real awarding body but not a Nepali qualification. So before you pay, ask specifically for the CTEVT registration number. A genuinely affiliated institution will produce it without hesitation. What is on offerOnly one provider publishes a price, and it is a good one: one and a half months across 10 to 15 lessons at a flat 15,000 rupees, stated to include materials, equipment, assessment and certificate, with free two-day trial classes and a detailed syllabus covering everything from scissor-over-comb through skin fades to straight-razor shaving with hot-towel preparation. The other two publish no fees at all, one runs a four-week diploma at two and a half hours a day with guaranteed placement, the other a dedicated men’s barbering course whose duration is also unpublished.A note on this listOne entry was removed: its barbering course page returns a not-found error and the academy’s current course list contains no barbering at all, it teaches beauty therapy, hairdressing, nails and makeup. One location correction too: a provider listed in Kathmandu is in fact in Lalitpur, a separate city in the same valley.
