Serbia
Serbia’s barbering training is small, private and taught by competition barbers rather than institutions. BarberCourses.com lists 2 providers here, both in Belgrade. What is on offerThe two entries are genuinely different products. One is a structured four-month course, three times a week, capped at four students, at 2,000 euros in instalments. The other is one-to-one and small-group mentoring sold by the day, 250 euros for an intensive one-to-one day, 130 per head for small groups, with a longer beginner track arranged individually. Both are taught by barbers who compete internationally. Neither claims ministry accreditation, and both are honest about that: one awards a certificate of attendance, the other makes no certificate claim at all. In a market where overstated credentials are common, that candour is worth something.A note on this listTwo entries were removed. One is a well-regarded Belgrade barbershop with no training arm. The only mention of learning on its site is one of the barbers describing how he learned the trade from his father. The other is a real and substantial hairdressing academy whose current course list covers geometric cutting, colouring and salon management, with no barbering course in it; a men’s cutting course it ran over a decade ago no longer appears anywhere in the current offer.
