Slovenia

Slovenia has two barbering routes and they sit at opposite ends of the formality scale. BarberCourses.com lists 2 providers here, both in Ljubljana. The honest one and the formal oneOne is a private academy with a grandiose name and a genuinely detailed nine to twelve week programme at 3,000 euros plus VAT, working on real clients from week three. It deserves particular credit for stating openly on its own site that its certificate does not meet the legal requirements to operate a barbershop in Slovenia and that formal hairdressing credentials are needed for that. Almost no private academy anywhere in this directory is that straight about the limits of its own award. The other is an established vocational school running an eighteen-month hairdressing qualification with a specialised barber programme alongside it, which is the route into the regulated craft.A note on this listOne entry was removed as a duplicate: its domain simply redirects to the academy already listed here, the same business under a former name. Slovenian barbering sits inside the regulated frizer craft, and the national qualification route is the NPK or a formal vocational education, neither private certificate substitutes for it.
