Abach Academy, Yerevan

Abach Academy on Tumanyan Street in Yerevan is run by the president of the Barbers Association of Armenia and has taught since 2017, alongside a barbershop opened in 2016 and a barber franchise network launched in 2025.

The programme is unusually intensive: two months, six days a week, eight hours a day, effectively full-time immersion, and a very different commitment from the evening and weekend formats common elsewhere in this directory. Theory covers hair structure and treatment, beard care and colour management. Practice covers razor work, clipper technique, hair patterns and beard trimming. Client-communication psychology and professional conduct are taught alongside technique. The final examination is assessed by a panel of established barbers rather than by the instructor alone, which is a meaningful quality signal at this level.
