Academy Beauty School runs a 300-hour Curso de Barbeiro at 1,860 euros, delivered in person on a daytime schedule in Lisbon, Porto and Braga. It is one of the two best-documented Portuguese entries here because its syllabus maps directly onto Catálogo Nacional de Qualificações module codes rather than being a self-designed list.

The modules are capillary diagnosis and trichology at 25 hours, capillary cosmetology at 25, hair washing at 25, drying principles at 25, men’s hair cutting techniques at 50, beard and moustache design and cutting at 50, beard and moustache care at 25, bleaching techniques at 50, and artistic beards and moustaches at 25. The school states DGERT certification with the certificate issued through the Ministry of Education’s SIGO platform. One practical warning: at the time of checking, the school’s homepage and course index were serving injected gambling spam from a compromised install, while the individual course pages remained intact. The business itself appears to be operating normally, go directly to the course page rather than the homepage, and treat an unfixed homepage as a reason to phone before paying.

On Portuguese credentials: the meaningful mark is DGERT certification of the training body, with the certificate then registered on the SIGO platform and, at best, built from Catálogo Nacional de Qualificações module codes. All four Portuguese providers here claim DGERT, but none publishes a certification number, so every one of those claims is self-asserted, ask for the number.
