Akademia Warszawski Golibroda

Akademia Warszawski Golibroda is the training arm of the long-established Warszawski Golibroda barbershop, teaching from Próżna street in central Warsaw. It publishes a full dated timetable and full prices, which puts it among the more transparent providers in this market.

Four courses run. The Complete Barber Workshop is three days at 2,800 zł. Three two-day courses run at 2,000 zł each: shaving and beard trimming, classic men’s cutting, and a modern and fade course. Teaching covers the whole client journey from the booking onwards rather than technique alone. The academy states it is entered in the Rejestr Instytucji Szkoleniowych and points students towards KFS and Urząd Pracy funding, though it does not publish its registration number, so ask for it if you intend to apply for public funding.

On credentials in Poland: barbering is not a regulated profession, so almost every academy issues its own certificate. Two things do carry weight, entry in the Rejestr Instytucji Szkoleniowych (RIS), which opens up publicly funded routes through Urząd Pracy, KFS and BUR, and registration as a Niepubliczna Placówka Kształcenia Ustawicznego. Be sceptical of ISO numbers presented as accreditation: ISO 9001 and ISO 21001 are management-system certifications bought privately, not educational credentials.
