BRONE Barber School, Kyiv
BRONE is the school attached to the BRONE barberhouse chain, which runs four Kyiv locations. Its distinguishing feature is group size: cohorts are capped at four students, among the smallest in this directory anywhere.
Three routes are published. A requalification course for existing hairdressers costs 10,000 hryvnia. Barber from Zero costs 25,000. A one-to-one individual course is listed at 40,000, reduced from 60,000. All run two months and 72 hours, delivered as 36 sessions of two hours, six hours of theory and 66 of practice, followed by a final examination. The school puts unusual emphasis on client communication alongside cutting technique, which is the thing most technically capable new barbers are weakest at. No certificate, licence or state document is mentioned. One practical note: the school lists four Kyiv studios but publishes no street address for the teaching venue, and its contacts page is broken, so establish where you would actually be training before enrolling.
One point applies to all four Ukrainian schools listed here: none holds an education licence and none issues a state-recognised document. Every certificate in this market is the school’s own, where one is offered at all. Ukrainian barbering is a genuinely strong scene built on private academies attached to working barbershops, so judge these on class size, practice hours and the shop behind them rather than on paperwork.
