Canada School of Barbering
Canada School of Barbering is a barbering-only training provider with campuses in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta. Its Masters in Barbering programme runs three months and 420 instructional hours, split into 110 hours of online theory fundamentals, 70 hours of practical fundamentals, 140 hours of barber practicum, 70 hours of advanced fundamentals and a further 140-hour advanced practicum. Delivery is hybrid, combining online coursework with campus practicum in a working barbershop setting, and evening classes are available.
Other options include a six-week Barber Bootcamp, an Alberta barber exam preparation course with six months of online access, and one and two-day workshops on fade fundamentals and straight razor shaving. Graduates receive a school certificate; the school states that Alberta journeyperson barber status requires a further 1,450 apprenticeship hours and government examinations.
