Canmeng Institute – 男士理髮理容師養成課, Taipei
Canmeng runs a 100-day intensive men’s barbering programme from Ren’ai Road in Taipei, near MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing, Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 17:30. At that intensity it is a full-time career change rather than a course you fit around a job.
The curriculum runs across seven strands: men’s cutting concepts and technique, service flow covering shampooing, scalp care and product pairing, shaving including facial care and both basic and advanced beard work, colouring covering permanent application and grey toning, and, unusually, a broader aesthetics strand taking in mobile photography, rock climbing and metal carving. It closes with a placement in a working commercial salon.
Two practical notes. The course fee is not published on the barbering page, though the institute’s hairdressing and nail tracks are priced openly, so ask. And on credentials: this is not a preparation course for Taiwan’s national skills certification. The institute says only that it will provide consultation and assistance to students wanting to sit the hairdressing technician certificate, so the award here is its own. This listing previously pointed at the general recruitment-scheme page rather than the barbering course.
