Chambre des Métiers – Cours de coupe homme et barbe, Luxembourg

The Chambre des Métiers is Luxembourg’s official trade chamber, and its continuing-education catalogue carries a small family of men’s cutting and beard courses. The only barbering-specific provision we could find in the country. Teaching is at the chamber’s premises in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, in French and Luxembourgish.

Three courses run. A beginner men’s cutting course of six hours costs 230 euros at the member rate, with a surcharge for non-members, and covers scissor positioning and handling, clean contour work, fade cuts and completing three basic men’s haircuts; a practice head is included and you bring your own tools. An intermediate course in classic razor cutting runs 9.25 hours at 300 euros. A beard course for hairdressers runs at 160 euros, covering beard technique, shaving and facial care. All three assume you already have professional hairdressing experience. These are top-up courses, not a route in.

Two things to be clear about. These are formation continue, so the award is an attestation of participation from the trade chamber rather than the state DAP or CCP qualification. And all three are currently catalogued as available on request rather than to a fixed calendar, with the published session dates now out of date, so contact the chamber to arrange a date rather than expecting to book online.
