Champions Barbering Institute, Inc.

Champions Institute, incorporated as Champions Barbering Institute, runs an 855-hour resident barber certification program on Northeast Killingsworth Street in Portland, Oregon. The program is structured over nine months, meeting five days a week from Tuesday through Saturday, and is designed to prepare students for Oregon’s state certification examination. The school reports graduation and certification pass rates above 90 percent and describes small class sizes with mentorship from instructors.

Alongside its School of Barbering, the institute runs a School of Success and folds a business curriculum into barber training, covering personal branding, financial management and professionalism. It is licensed by the State of Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission, Private Career Schools, and partners with a matched-savings program as part of what it describes as a pathway toward shop ownership and debt-conscious education. Enrollment events are held weekly.
