City of Glasgow College – Introduction to Barbering (school-college partnership)

This is a school-college partnership course, and that is the single most important thing to know about it: it is open to pupils in S4 to S6 who remain enrolled at their secondary school, and applications go through school careers advisors rather than direct entry. It is not available to general adult applicants.

The course is an NQ Introduction to Barbering at SCQF Level 4, running 28 weeks part time on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30pm to 4:00pm at the City Campus, and there is no fee. Applicants must be 16 by the start of September in the year of entry. It sits a full level below the college’s one-year NQ Barbering at SCQF Level 5, and is designed as a taster and progression route into it rather than as a qualification to work on. Places are currently full with a waiting list operating.
