CMP Academia, Santiago
CMP teaches from Providencia in Santiago, near Metro Manuel Montt, and caps every course at ten students. Among the smaller class sizes in Latin America and the main thing you are paying for here.
Three tracks run. A basic workshop covers one month, Wednesdays and Fridays mornings. The initial course runs four months with two classes a week, or as a three-month intensive on Saturday mornings, with weekday morning and evening options also available. An advanced course runs eight months on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Enrolment is a non-refundable 50,000 peso matriculation paid online, then 150,000 pesos a month paid at the academy from the first day of class. The fee includes a practice head, teaching materials, access to partner-brand tools and products, and a completion diploma.
The syllabus covers introduction and biosafety, machine, trimmer and scissor handling, classic cuts, low, mid and high fades, beard design and grooming, and barbershop skincare services. The academy describes itself as the Chilean seat of an international barbering association, that is a private industry body, not a Chilean state credential, and no SENCE or OTEC status is claimed.
