Cookie Barbershop – Look & Learn, Zagreb

Cookie is a working barbershop in the Kajzerica district of Zagreb that runs a Look and Learn workshop and mentoring programme, and after checking every barbering entry in Croatia, it is the only one in the country with genuine barbering training content published.

The syllabus has seven parts: the history of barbering; traditional shaving techniques and spa treatments; hair cutting; beard shaping to facial structure; grooming product knowledge; marketing fundamentals covering how to promote a barbershop; and building a men’s salon around client preferences. That last third is unusual and useful, most workshops at this level stop at technique. Registration is by contacting the salon directly.

Two things to set expectations. No duration, price or dates are published anywhere, so all of that needs establishing by enquiry. And no certificate is mentioned, national or in-house. Croatia does have a real credential, a programme verified by the education ministry yields a certificate recorded in your electronic work record book, but this is not that, and the shop does not claim it is.
