Dallas Barber & Stylist College

Dallas Barber and Stylist College has operated in the Dallas area since 1997, with its main campus on Forest Lane in Dallas and additional locations in Arlington and on Frankford Road. Its Class A Barber program is listed at 1,500 clock hours scheduled over nine months, with an eighteen-month maximum, though a more recent program listing gives the length as 27 weeks. The program trains students for entry-level employment as barber-stylists.

Other offerings include a Barber Tech and Hair Weaving program covering braids, micro-braids, kinky twists, weaves and cornrows, a hair braiding specialist option, a non-accredited refresher course, and a Barber Instructor program covering the principles of teaching theory and manual skills, supervising clinic work and evaluating students. The college is licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, is approved for veterans’ benefits, and accepts Title IV funds.
