Diadema Academy – Corso Barber
Diadema Academy runs the strongest barbering route in this directory’s Italian listings: a genuine three-year regional qualification specifically framed as barbering, accredited by Regione Lombardia under number 1463 of 28 November 2024. It leads to a qualifica professionale con abilitazione, the credential that actually permits you to practise in Italy.
The structure is substantial. Year one is 900 classroom hours plus 150 hours of internship at three days a week; year two is 600 plus 450 at two days a week; year three is 300 plus 600 at one day a week, 1,800 classroom and 1,200 internship hours in total, with the balance shifting steadily from school to shop floor. Entry requires being 18 or over with a licenza media. Content covers shaving, cutting, beard care and massage alongside business, marketing, cosmetology and trichology, image analysis and personal branding. The same course also runs at Brescia, Mantova, Rimini and Rome. Neither prices nor start dates are published, so contact the academy directly.
A note on Italian credentials that matters more here than anywhere else in Europe. Hairdressing is a regulated trade under Law 174/2005, and to work as an acconciatore or barbiere you need a regional qualifica professionale with abilitazione, typically a multi-year regionally accredited course. A private academy’s attestato, however good the teaching, does not confer that right. Foreign awarding-body approvals do not either, whatever the marketing says.
