École Terrade – Formation Barbier
École Terrade, part of Groupe Silvya Terrade, runs one national barbier course delivered across sixteen campuses including Paris, Lyon, Lille, Toulouse, Montpellier, Rennes, Clermont-Ferrand and Toulon. This is a single entry for that course rather than one per city, since the curriculum, length and price are identical everywhere.
The course is 35 hours at 1,690 euros, covering preparation and adaptation of the workstation, client installation and comfort, hygiene and safety, facial morphology and skin analysis, traditional shaving with a coupe-chou straight razor, creating trimming and styling the beard, and tracing contours to define its structure. It is a continuing-education route only, not available by apprenticeship, professionalisation contract or prior-learning accreditation. There is a real prerequisite: candidates must hold at least a CAP Coiffure by the time of the final examination, and admission is by dossier plus a motivation interview. The school states CPF funding can cover up to 90 per cent, with France Travail and regional aid also available. Note the certificate is a school certificate rather than an RNCP title. A warning on figures found elsewhere: Terrade’s city landing pages quote 105 hours and 2,790 euros, which contradicts its own canonical course page. The 35 hours and 1,690 euros above are the figures to trust.
