Evolution Barber School

Evolution Barber School is a barbering-only school in Valencia with six named trainers, founded and directed by Jose Meyuy and Paula Sánchez. Its Iniciación course runs five months on weekdays starting in September, or six months on Saturdays starting in October, priced at 170 euros enrolment plus 320 euros a month on the weekday track or 270 euros a month on Saturdays.

The syllabus is unusually specific for this market: historia de la barbería, análisis capilar, visagismo, particiones y secciones, cutting techniques, degradado technique, beard and moustache work, shaving, colouring and bleaching, sales technique, marketing and social media, and English applied to barbering, the last of these being a genuinely practical inclusion for anyone intending to work abroad. A two-month Perfeccionamiento course of 32 hours runs at 70 euros enrolment plus 320 euros a month, and private classes start from 300 euros. An online arm also exists. The award is the school’s own certificate, issued after examination.
