Fadeclub Academy
Fadeclub Academy is run by the Fade Club barbershop on Warschauer Straße in Friedrichshain, Berlin, and offers a single intensive seminar priced at 799 euros. Content covers men’s cutting including zero fades, beard styling, traditional straight-razor shaving, threading for eyebrow shaping, facial masks and face waxing. It is aimed at hairdressers and stylists extending into barbering.
Two things to be clear about. The certificate is titled Master-Barbier, and in a German context that wording is misleading. It is the shop’s own document, it is not a Meisterbrief, and it confers no right to run a Friseur salon. And the academy page promises guaranteed employment at Fade Club on successful completion, which is a recruitment pitch as much as a training offer; that may suit you well if you want to work there, but read it as such. Neither the duration in days nor any session dates are published, so both need establishing by enquiry.
A note on German credentials, because the labels mislead. Friseur is a regulated Handwerk trade and running a salon requires a Meisterbrief, but Barbier is not a separate recognised trade and there is no Barbier Ausbildung. So German barbering training is essentially all continuing professional development: private seminars issuing their own certificates, or courses run through a Handwerkskammer-linked or guild-linked academy. Neither route leads to a Gesellenbrief or a Meisterbrief, and a certificate calling you a “Master Barber” confers no legal standing whatsoever.
