Franklin Barber and Beauty Institute runs three Texas campuses: northwest Houston on Highway 6 North, southwest Houston on Almeda Road, and a Texas City location on FM 1765.

Programs include a 1,000-hour Class A Barber course and a 1,000-hour Cosmetology Operator course, together with 300-hour crossover courses in both directions for licensed cosmetologists moving into barbering and licensed barbers moving into cosmetology. A 300-hour hair braiding and weaving course and refresher courses for both barbers and cosmetologists are also offered. Classes are available in Spanish, and veterans’ education benefits are accepted at selected campuses. The institute states it has been in operation for more than a hundred years.
