HARROW COLLEGE

Harrow College is part of Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges and teaches hair at its Harrow on the Hill campus, where students work on real clients in the college’s Image Salon. Barbering is delivered mainly through the Level 2 Hair Professional apprenticeship, in which apprentices follow either a hairdressing or a barbering pathway; it typically runs for around 24 months and combines salon employment with day or block release at one of the group’s campuses, including Harrow.

Classroom-based hair courses include the City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Women’s and Men’s Hairdressing and the City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing for Colour Technicians. An ESOL Introduction to Hair and Beauty including Barbering at Entry 3 is offered to 16- to 23-year-olds whose first language is not English, and the group also lists a part-time evening Introduction to Barbering.
