House of Barbers Academy
House of Barbers Academy teaches from Bulevardul Hristo Botev near Universitate in central Bucharest and is the training arm of a barbershop chain with sites at Cotroceni, Iancului and in Buzău.
Two formats run. A group course of two months costs 5,000 lei, and a one-to-one course of one month costs 8,000. Both can be paid in three instalments or across twelve monthly card payments, with a 1,000 lei deposit reserving a place. Content covers all cut types from long to short, cutting to face shape, bone structure and hair texture, styling products, the client consultation procedure, and the full operation of a barbershop. Theory is delivered online with practical work supervised in person. A sensible split if you are travelling in.
Two cautions. The academy advertises an internationally recognised diploma and accredited trainers without naming any accrediting body or publishing an authorisation number, so treat that claim as unverified. And its two academy pages carry contradictory next-intake dates, so confirm which cohort you are actually joining rather than relying on the website.
On Romanian credentials: the mark that matters is ANC authorisation, a course authorised under Government Ordinance 129/2000 yields a certificat de calificare recognised nationally and across the EU. Several Romanian academies advertise a ministry-certified or internationally recognised diploma without naming an authorising body or publishing an authorisation number. That is not proof of a fake, but it is not proof of ANC authorisation either, so ask for the number in writing before you pay.
