Instituto IAP – Curso de Barbería, Bogotá

IAP runs from Fontibón in Bogotá under a named Colombian legal entity with a named director, and teaches barbering in person, online or in a dual format. The course runs 42 lessons, typically two to four months and 32 to 64 hours depending on how fast you practise, with a stated methodology of 95 per cent practical work.

Content covers tool handling, sterilisation, razor shaving, fade cutting, beard design, cranial drawing and hair tattoo work, and salon management, with three bonus modules on business creation and branding. Graduates receive an IAP diploma carrying a verifiable QR code.

The institute deserves credit for being unusually plain about what that diploma is. Its own site states that this is formación no reglada. Teaching that does not lead to a qualification with official standing. There is no Secretaría de Educación resolution, no recognised institutional status and no certificado de aptitud ocupacional. In a market where several competitors imply ministry backing they cannot evidence, that honesty is worth noting. One practical caution: the barbering page renders a price of zero, which is a template default rather than a real figure, ask what it actually costs.
