Irish College of Hairdressing
The Irish College of Hairdressing is a private training college based in Galway, established in 2006 at Liosban. It was founded by Bernardine Gallagher, who trained at the Morris School of Hairdressing in London and worked as a stylist, salon manager and trainer across Europe, Asia, Australia, America, South Africa and Canada before opening the college.
The college is accredited by City & Guilds and delivers City & Guilds International qualifications on both a full-time and part-time basis. Its listed programmes include a Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing and a Level 2 International Diploma in Hairdressing and Barbering offered through accreditation of prior learning, so barbering is covered alongside hairdressing. Training spans customer service, consultation, cutting, colouring and home care advice.
