ITCHA – Curso de Barbería, Chalatenango
A location correction first: ITCHA, the Instituto Tecnológico de Chalatenango, is in Chalatenango, not San Salvador as older directory data recorded. It has operated since 1981, is affiliated with the Salvadoran education ministry and delivers courses linked to the national vocational training body, making it the only El Salvador entry here with a genuine institutional credential.
The current barbering course runs three months and 60 hours, taught on Saturday mornings from 07:00 to 12:00, covering three competency areas: basic technique, beard trimming and eyebrow shaping. The cost is a 30 dollar inscription plus three monthly payments of 60 dollars, with tools not included. Scholarships are available for returned migrants aged 18 to 35, an unusual and genuinely useful provision.
One correction on the link: this listing previously pointed at a course intake that began in March 2024 and has long since finished. The URL here is the current course.
