Kings Barber Academy

Kings Barber Academy is the training arm of a three-shop Bratislava barbershop chain, with branches at Aupark, OC Nivy and Koliba. It runs two versions of the same beginner course, Barber from Zero, under different instructors, an unusual structure that lets you choose the teaching style as well as the syllabus.

The first version runs 20 lessons of five hours each on a flexible schedule, covering all types of men’s haircuts from long to short, fade techniques, beard grooming and waxing. Professional tools are provided throughout, along with a mannequin head, a workbook and live practice models, and a certificate is issued on completion. The second runs two months at three lessons a week and covers men’s cutting, fades, beard grooming, client communication and tool maintenance. Top graduates are offered positions within the Kings network, which is a meaningful outcome in a chain of this size. Prices and intake dates are not published, so enquire directly. Be clear that no ministry accreditation is claimed. The award is the academy’s own certificate, not a state qualification for the regulated kaderník trade.
