Lakmé Academy Bangalore – Barbering & Grooming

Lakmé Academy Bangalore delivers the Certificate Course in Barbering and Grooming, a 168-hour programme offered across the Lakmé Academy network, which operates as a joint venture between Lakmé and Aptech. Entry requires SSLC or tenth standard, making this one of the few structured barbering routes in India that is genuinely open to beginners. Two Bangalore centres run under the brand, at Rajajinagar and at Jayanagar.

The course is built from four modules. Haircare covers men’s scalp care together with fade and layer techniques; grooming covers shaving and beard work; colour covers grey coverage, highlights and weaves; and the final module addresses texture services and frizz control. Assessment combines a written test with a practical evaluation, and the stated exit role is Men’s Hair Stylist. Lakmé Academy describes a brand-level partnership with the Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council backed by NSDC recognition, though that claim is not attached to this specific course and no NSQF level is published for it.
