Learning Curve Group – Barbering Academy

Learning Curve Group runs barbering through its network of hair, beauty and barbering skills academies, where learning takes place in a working salon rather than a classroom. Provision spans certificates and diplomas from Level 1 to Level 3 and covers both the practical and theoretical sides of barbering. Courses run year-round, so learners can start at various points in the year rather than waiting for a September intake.

Qualifications are delivered through awarding organisations including VTCT and AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group. The academies are aimed at people with a genuine interest in barbering, including school leavers, those out of work and career changers, and much of the provision is free to eligible learners through government funding such as the Adult Skills Fund; apprenticeship routes are also offered. Academy locations listed include Camden, Croydon, Loughton, Chesterfield, Derby, Exeter, Hartlepool, Huddersfield, Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield.
