Lebanese Academy of Beauty – Professional Barber Certification

A location note first: LAB teaches from Dora in Greater Beirut and from Jbeil, not central Beirut as older directory data implied.

Its Professional Barber Certification Program is the longest barbering course in Lebanon at six months, two days a week, twice the length of the three-month courses offered elsewhere in the country, and structured for people who want depth rather than a fast route in. The ten-part curriculum covers scalp and hair composition, tool sterilisation and handling, shaving, facial waxing of ears, nose, cheeks and forehead, beard trimming, hair cutting, hairstyling and blow-drying, hair colouring, serums and treatments, and hair straightening.

Teaching hours run Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to 8pm and Tuesday and Friday from 9am to 5pm, closed weekends. Unlike the two Lebanese colleges listed alongside it, LAB claims no Ministry of Education accreditation, so the certification is the academy’s own. Fees are not published.
