London School of Barbering - Liverpool Street
The London School of Barbering teaches from its London academy at 13 Artillery Lane, near Liverpool Street station. The academy operates as a working barbershop, so trainees cut paying clients during their course; the school states its London and Manchester sites handle over 1,500 haircuts a week between them. Qualifications are awarded by Focus Awards.
Full-time routes include a 12-week Beginner to Master course covering Levels 2 and 3 and a nine-week Beginner to Job Ready course at Level 2, with the same Level 2 qualification also available part time over 20 Saturdays or 24 weeks of evenings. Shorter courses suit those already working in hair: a three-week Masters in Barbering at Level 3, a three-week Advanced Diploma, two-week conversion courses for hairdressers and make-up artists, and two- to five-day masterclasses in clipper work and fading, skin fades and wet shaving.
