Mei Barber School

Mei Barber School is located on East Elizabeth Street in Brownsville, Texas, and offers a full-time barbering course that the school states can be completed in less than a year. The curriculum is built around the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation State Board Exam, and the school states that the program prepares students for both the written and practical portions of that examination.

New classes begin each month, and the school notes that sections often fill several weeks in advance. Directory records list the school as accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences, though this is not confirmed on the school’s own site. Specific clock hour requirements and any day or evening scheduling breakdown are not published, so confirm those before enrolling.
