Menspire

Menspire runs a barbering academy in Dublin alongside its barbershop, with a second academy in the UK. Provision ranges from one-day fundamental classes to full-time programmes of up to six months, covering beginners through to working barbers looking to develop further. Teaching combines live demonstrations and practical sessions with diagram-based theory, lectures and written examinations, equipment is supplied, and work experience in a barbershop environment forms part of the training.

The academy advises that reaching junior barber standard realistically takes a minimum of around four months of full-time study, attending four to five days a week for roughly eight hours a day, and it is openly critical of very short courses that promise job-ready skills. It also encourages prospective students to check exactly what a given course includes, noting that barbering training in Ireland is not regulated.
