Networks Barber College

Networks Barber College is licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences. It operates two campuses, on Burnham Avenue in Calumet City and West 103rd Street in Chicago, both of which appear on the state’s published list of licensed Illinois barber schools.

The college offers a Barber Stylist course of 1,500 clock hours covering manipulative skills, safety and sanitation judgment, work habits and business skills, and a Barber Teacher course of either 1,000 or 500 hours depending on the applicant’s eligibility. Instruction uses the Milady Standard Professional Barbering and Milady Master Educator texts. Financial aid and veterans’ benefits are available to those who qualify. For 2023 the school reported an overall graduation rate of 88 percent and a 100 percent placement rate.
