No.1 Barber Akadémia
No.1 Barber Akadémia teaches inside a working barbershop on Teréz körút in central Budapest and is registered in the adult-training register under B/2025/000953. It is barbering-only, with no general hairdressing provision alongside.
Two products run, both fully priced. The Barber Alapképzés foundation course is 40 hours across 20 sessions spread over three to five months, costing 30,000 forint registration plus 600,000 in tuition. A shorter Barber Specializáció for people who are already hairdressers runs 20 hours across ten sessions at 30,000 plus 315,000. Both combine online theory material and practical video with hands-on instruction on the shop floor. Content covers barbering fundamentals, tool and equipment handling, hygiene protocols, cutting and beard shaping, salon operations, client management and professional workflow. An online masterclass covering advanced technique plus social media marketing and barbershop business operation is also offered.
There is no fixed start date. Enrolment is rolling and practical sessions are self-scheduled across weekdays and weekends, which suits people fitting training around existing work. The course ends with an internal examination and the academy’s own certificate; no state qualification is claimed.
On Hungarian credentials: adult-training institutions must hold a felnőttképzési nyilvántartási szám, and the strongest providers also hold a full engedély letting them deliver programmes towards a state szakképesítő examination. A registration number covers the institution, not necessarily the individual course. Ask specifically whether the barbering course you are buying leads to a state qualification or to the school’s own oklevél.
