Ohio State College of Barber Styling
Ohio State College of Barber Styling operates on East Broad Street in Columbus and offers a barbering course approved by the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board. The main program runs 1,800 clock hours, described as about 45 weeks at full-time attendance of 40 hours per week. A 1,000-hour program is available to applicants who already hold a valid Ohio cosmetology license, and a 200-hour refresher course serves licensed barbers updating their skills. Part-time scheduling requires approval from the executive administrative director, and Saturday attendance is required for all enrollment types.
Instruction combines scheduled theory and technique classes with clinic time in which students perform services for the public in the school’s barbershop-style area. The college is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges and participates in federal student aid programs. Training runs Monday through Saturday, and no evening program is listed.
