ONE Beauty Academy

ONE Beauty Academy is a private beauty school with its Calgary campus on 1A Street SW and further campuses in Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Grande Prairie. Its main offering is a 1,400-hour hairstyling diploma delivered over roughly nine months, with four intakes a year in March, June, September and December. An 1,800-hour blended hairstyling, esthetics and makeup artistry programme is also offered. Both appear on the Alberta government’s alis post-secondary programmes directory.

Barbering is named directly within the hairstyling curriculum, alongside advanced colouring, long hair styling, extensions and bridal hairstyling. The school is an American Crew partner school, and students receive men’s cutting instruction and branded tools through that arrangement. The 1,400 hours are described as the in-school training that counts towards an apprenticeship as a hair technician, with practical work in an on-site salon.
