Paul Mitchell The School Dallas operates on Midway Road in Carrollton, north of Dallas. Its Class A Barber program requires 1,000 clock hours and is taught in three levels: a core phase covering theory, haircutting, chemical services, men’s shaving and grooming, skin care and hairpiece work; an adaptive phase on live models under instructor supervision; and a creative phase in which students work independently, build portfolios and prepare for the state board examination. A 300-hour crossover course is also listed for licensed cosmetology operators moving to a Class A barber license.

Barbering is offered on a four-day evening schedule, Monday through Thursday from 5.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 18 hours a week, with flexible 18, 22 or 32-hour weekly options available after the core phase. The school is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education and licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
