Paul Mitchell The School San Diego occupies A Street in downtown San Diego, California, and offers a 1,000-clock-hour barbering program split between pre-clinical classroom instruction and clinic-floor service. The course runs through three levels: Core, in which students learn theory and fundamental technique on mannequin heads; Adaptive, in which they work on live models in a barbershop-style clinic; and Creative, in which they work independently, build a portfolio and prepare for the California state board examination.

Two schedules are published: a five-day full-time track, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., at 35 hours per week, and a four-night part-time track, Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., at 20 hours per week. Start dates are listed from August through December 2026. The campus is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences and appears on the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology approved school list.
