Pivot Point Academy – Opleiding Barbier
Pivot Point Academy Belgium runs its barbering training from Pelt in Limburg and offers three tracks: a basic barber programme, an old-school barbering course and an advanced course for people already working, built from modules in basic cutting, men’s cutting and shaving.
The individual basic track is the best documented: it runs over a year, comprising ten days of group training plus two half-days of one-to-one coaching, made up of four days of basic cutting, three of men’s cutting, one of shaving and two on salon-ready men’s work and advanced technique. The price is 2,644 euros excluding VAT, and this is the useful part, it drops to around 1,586 euros excluding VAT using the Flemish KMO-portefeuille subsidy, which is available to eligible small businesses and self-employed people. The fee includes lunch, course materials, practice hair, a practice head and stand, a year of online platform access, and hotel accommodation if you travel more than 120 kilometres. A dated calendar runs into 2027. Note that some sessions are delivered in the Netherlands rather than Belgium, so check the venue for the specific date you book. The award is the academy’s own certificate.
