Professione Accademia – Corso per Barbieri, Milan and Turin
Professione Accademia runs a practical barbering course in men’s cutting and shaving at two sites, Piazza Spotorno in Milan and Via Drovetti in Turin. It is listed once here because it is one course taught in two cities rather than two separate schools.
Third-party listings record the Turin edition as three months across fourteen lessons at 350 euros a month including VAT, capped at eight students, open from age 16 with no prior experience required, and structured in three phases covering beard and moustache care, men’s cutting technique, and practical service exercises. Wider content covers foundational and advanced cutting, fade classification, beard work, client management, hygiene, workspace organisation, professional shaving and hair tattooing. Payment can be a single sum, up to three instalments, or around 100 euros a month with financing. The academy is candid that it is a private school awarding its own Attestato di Merito Professionale after a theory and practical examination, and it explicitly disclaims being an employment agency. There is no regional accreditation.
A note on Italian credentials that matters more here than anywhere else in Europe. Hairdressing is a regulated trade under Law 174/2005, and to work as an acconciatore or barbiere you need a regional qualifica professionale with abilitazione, typically a multi-year regionally accredited course. A private academy’s attestato, however good the teaching, does not confer that right. Foreign awarding-body approvals do not either, whatever the marketing says.
