Rīgas Starptautiskais Mācību Centrs – Barbershop Workshops

Rīgas Starptautiskais Mācību Centrs has operated on Lācplēša iela in Riga since 1996 and holds Latvian state accreditation across its professional programmes plus international ITEC accreditation. Its barbering provision takes the form of two focused workshops rather than a long programme.

The main barbershop technologies workshop runs eight classes at two per week, weighted 80 per cent to practice, covering the pompadour, classical men’s cuts, the Polish cut, half-box, box, hedgehog and military styles, fades, straight-razor and clipper shaving, modern styling products and an overview of colour. A separate beard and moustache workshop runs six to seven hours split evenly between theory and practice at 290 euros, or 270 for existing students, covering the history of beards and moustaches, shaping, sanitary standards, styling by face shape and common errors, students bring their own tools for that one. Teaching is in Latvian, Russian and English and diplomas are issued in multiple languages, with models provided and scheduling arranged individually on request. One thing to settle before booking: the school’s Latvian and English pages disagree on the main workshop, quoting 565 euros for four-hour classes and 880 euros for three-hour classes respectively, so confirm the format and price directly.
