Rosston School of Hair Design

Rosston School of Hair Design is a barbering school on West Holt Boulevard in Ontario, California. It offers a 1,000-hour barber program, a 1,500-hour barbering program taught in English and Spanish, and a 600-hour barber instructor program. Instruction combines theory with practical operations in sanitation, haircutting, shaving, grooming, hair coloring and chemical services, and is aimed at preparing students to pass the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology barber examination. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, with classes Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.

The school is approved to operate by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education but is not accredited by a US Department of Education-recognized agency and does not participate in Title IV aid, Cal Grants, veterans’ benefits or WIOA funding. Its 2023 state filing reported 54 students and a 79.49 percent barber exam pass rate.
