Shufooni Academy, Tel Aviv

Shufooni is the most thoroughly documented barbering provider in Israel, attached to a working barbershop on Frishman Street in Tel Aviv with a second branch on Dizengoff, and it runs three tracks of genuinely different depth.

The barbering track is eight weekly sessions and 50 hours, and its structure is worth setting out because it is unusually well designed: session one covers equipment, scissors, grip and hand movement; session two head anatomy, hair divisions, symmetry and adapting to face structure; session three machine work, clipper grades and baseline; session four fading, blending, hygiene and professional conduct; and sessions five to eight work on live models, covering beard design, current men’s cuts, photography, Instagram marketing, pricing strategy, appointment management and client retention. The academy track runs ten sessions of seven hours, around 100 hours, adding a practical session on real clients in the barbershop, a studio shoot, and both theory and practical examinations. A shorter intensive runs six sessions of four hours with tools supplied.

A professional barber kit is included, valued at 3,000 to 3,500 shekels depending on the track. Courses also run in Karmiel. Graduates receive the academy’s own barber diploma; no Ministry of Labour supervision or government examination is mentioned. Adult course prices are not published.
