Style Education – Barberare, Stockholm

Style Education is an approved private provider of komvux, Swedish municipal adult education, running barbering from the Globen area of Stockholm with salon facilities in Nacka. It appears on Stockholm city’s own register of approved komvux providers, which is independent confirmation rather than a marketing claim, and its courses are CSN-eligible so student finance applies.

Two routes run. The full Barberarutbildning is 1,500 points over 75 weeks full time, and a shorter classroom route is 800 points over 40 weeks. Intakes come three times a year in March, August and November, with confirmed starts in November 2026 and August 2027. Tuition is funded by your home municipality rather than paid directly; students buy a tool kit costing around 5,500 kronor. Content covers men’s cutting, beard cutting, clean shaving, hygiene, styling of hair and beard, equipment maintenance, salon operations and customer service, finishing with workplace-based learning. Teaching runs Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 15:30 and requires basic Swedish. The programme prepares students for the gesällprov, the Swedish trade test that leads to a gesällbrev.
